Quite a few of our faithful patrons from the early days share similar stories of waiting in line for doughnuts and ATTEMPTING to order a dozen or two, only to be told "Nope!" by the smallest, sweetest looking Hungarian woman in town. She is often compared to that Soup Guy from Seinfeld. Why? Well, Dad always scaled out the ingredients for the dough the night before and woke up before the crack of dawn to make a very limited amount of doughnuts. Mom always wanted to make sure everyone in line got at least one, a practice my wife calls "Doughnut socialism". And why wouldn't she want everyone to get one? Our doughnuts are probably unlike any doughnut you've ever had. They are tender but have a bit of a crisp to the exterior. Just the way Dad taught me. So while the hands measuring the ingredients and kneading the dough have changed, the practice remains the same with one exception: we will take orders in advance! If you give us a call the day or night before you would like to enjoy your doughnuts, we'll make as many as you'd like(within reason of course 😉).

National Doughnut Day is the first Friday in June!!!
National Doughnut Day was created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I during their occupation in France. Unfortunately we are not open on Fridays for doughnuts, so we decided to celebrate the entire weekend! We put a twist(sorry) on our classic doughnut flavors. These specialty flavors are offered during this time only. This year we will be celebrating June 3th and 4th.
